Best AI rendering software for interior design in Quebec and Canada (2026)

11 AI rendering tools compared: starting point, French support, listed prices, cost estimates. For designers and homeowners alike.

Atelier 14October 23, 2026

The best AI rendering software mostly depends on one question: what are you starting from? If you already model in 3D (SketchUp, Revit, 2020), an engine that starts from your 3D views, like Viiew or Chaos Veras, is built for you. If you start from a photo of the room, you need a tool that keeps the room recognizable, like Atelier 14, Interior AI or RoomGPT. And if you also want the price, very few tools give it, and fewer still in Canadian dollars with GST and QST.

On October 23, 2026, we recorded what each vendor shows on its own website: starting point, language, entry price and cost estimate.

Disclosure: Atelier 14 publishes this comparison and is in it. We used the same criteria for every tool, including our own limits.

If you already model in 3D

Viiew is the only other Quebec tool we found (Viiew Technologies, Saint-Basile-le-Grand). It turns views exported from SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, Archicad or 2020 into photorealistic renders. It’s a good choice when your project already exists in 3D. It doesn’t start from a photo of the room and doesn’t price the project. Its prices are in US dollars.

Chaos Veras installs directly in Revit, SketchUp, Rhino or Archicad. It’s for architects and designers who work in those programs. English interface.

Coohom, Foyr Neo, Planner 5D and Homestyler are design programs: you draw the plan, furnish it in 3D, then render. They go further on plans and 360° tours, but you have to model the room. Coohom and Planner 5D show their prices in Canadian dollars.

If you start from a photo

This is the most common case: a photo of the current kitchen, and the wish to see what it could become.

  • Atelier 14 starts from a photo, a plan or a sketch. You choose how far to go: keep the layout and change the finishes, rearrange one area, or reinvent everything. You compare several directions, then price the one you keep. French and English interface.
  • Interior AI and RoomGPT transform a photo in seconds. They’re good for exploring ideas, but offer no real products or estimate, and their interface is in English.
  • REimagineHome places real shoppable products in the photo (Pro plan). It’s mostly aimed at real estate and virtual staging.
  • Renovate AI gives a cost estimate from its Pro plan, with items from US retailers. Only its Max plan (US$99/month) includes a commercial licence, worth checking if you’re a professional.

For renders that stay true to the room, the limit is the same everywhere: a detail can change. Check every image before presenting it.

If you also want the price

This is where the tools differ most. Of the 11 compared:

  • Atelier 14 reads quantities from the image (linear feet of cabinets, countertop, backsplash, flooring) and gives the price in three ranges, with GST and QST, from prices collected in Quebec. Every line can be adjusted.
  • Renovate AI gives an estimate, without explaining its method, with US retailer prices.
  • Coohom and Homestyler export a bill of materials on their paid plans.
  • None of the others shows Quebec-specific prices.

For a ballpark without a photo or an account, our kitchen cost calculator uses the same range prices.

Homeowner or professional?

  • You’re renovating your own home: start from a photo. Atelier 14, Interior AI or RoomGPT show you ideas in minutes; Atelier 14 adds the price, in French or English.
  • You’re a designer or kitchen designer starting from the client’s photo: Atelier 14 keeps the layout, places real products and produces a PDF presentation.
  • You deliver technical drawings: keep your 3D software and add a rendering engine like Viiew or Veras, or Atelier 14 for the sales phase.

Our method

We read each vendor’s website on October 23, 2026, without creating an account: homepage, pricing page and help. A fact we could not confirm on an official site is not in the table. We will update this comparison every month along with our kitchen prices. Found an error about your tool? Write to us at admin@atelier14.app.
