Mid-range kitchen in Quebec: 2026 cost of a manufacturer-made kitchen

Manufacturer cabinets, quartz, Bosch: the line-by-line cost of a mid-range kitchen in Quebec in 2026, from $25,356 to $40,656.

Mid-range means a kitchen built by a manufacturer rather than assembled at home: sturdy cabinet boxes, polyester, thermofoil or painted MDF doors, a quartz countertop and brand-name appliances. For many projects, it strikes a good balance between durability and budget.

This article is part of our series on the cost of a kitchen in Quebec in 2026. All prices were collected on October 2, 2026, in Canadian dollars, before GST and QST.

What a Mid-range kitchen costs

Quebec renovation guides put a complete Mid-range kitchen between $30,000 and $55,000, including demolition, plumbing and electrical. Here is the breakdown for a typical kitchen (quantities in linear feet, LF):

What “mid-range” means, line by line

Cabinets ($310 per LF) and island ($375 per LF). Manufacturer cabinets, delivered assembled, with polyester, thermofoil or painted MDF doors. Assembled cabinets sold at big-box stores, such as Landon & Co ÉLITE at RONA or Thomasville at Home Depot, are among the benchmarks collected for this range.

Installation ($160 per LF). Done by the manufacturer’s installer, it costs almost double the installation of ready-to-assemble cabinets.

Countertop ($65 per sq ft, installed). Entry-level quartz or granite, fabricated and installed. It is often the most visible change when you move up from the Budget range.

Backsplash ($10 per sq ft) and flooring ($7 per sq ft). Designer ceramic or porcelain, or a glass mosaic, on the wall. On the floor, oak engineered wood or 12 × 24 porcelain.

Faucets and lighting.

  • Moen, Delta or Grohe faucet: $450.
  • Undermount stainless steel or Blanco composite sink: $500.
  • 128 mm Richelieu or Amerock handles: $13 each.
  • Manufacturer pendants such as Kichler or Kuzco: $200 each.

Appliances.

  • Faber, Best or Zephyr wall-mount range hood: $1,500.
  • Bosch or Café induction cooktop: $3,300.
  • Bosch wall oven: $3,900.
  • KitchenAid or Frigidaire Pro built-in refrigerator: $3,700.
  • Bosch 100 to 300 Series dishwasher: $1,300.

Options that drive up the bill

OptionPrice
9-ft ceiling (39- to 42-in. wall cabinets)$25 per LF
10-ft ceiling (stacked cabinet or full-height cabinets)$95 per LF
Under-cabinet lighting, LED tape with transformer$40 per LF
Soft-close drawer cabinet instead of doors$255 each
Glass door$100 extra per door
Pull-out shelf or garbage bin, installed$340 each
Quartz waterfall edge on the island$1,400
Wall tile, 12 × 24 porcelain$6 per sq ft

A 10-ft ceiling gets expensive quickly: over 34 LF of cabinets, the stacked cabinet or full-height cabinets add about $3,230.

Where to put the money

  • The countertop and hardware are seen and touched every day. Entry-level quartz and good drawer slides often do more for the overall impression than more expensive doors.
  • Soft-close drawers in the base cabinets, especially near the range.
  • One appliance at a time. Nothing forces you to buy the whole suite from the same brand: a Bosch cooktop and a refrigerator from another brand get along just fine.
